*B Lucky*Star’s Ra | ||||||||||||||||||||

Ra is a very good looking buck, he is black with tan markings. We are so pleased with him and the way he has blended with our animals. Ra was purchased from Don and Judi Hoy of Lucky*Star Herd. We can not thank them enough for allowing us to purchase him. His sire, Kareem [LaMancha Buck Ref.]has produced many lovely does and bucks not only in the Hoy Herd, but in several other herds. Kareem’s most notable traits in his daughters are their lovely mammaries, milk production, level top lines, and breed character. Ra seems to have inherited these traits and is passing them on to his offspring. When Ra’s dam, Ebony [LaMancha Doe Ref.] passed on in 2003, it made us even more grateful we had purchased Ra. Ebony did not milk as heavy as some of the other Lucky*Star does, but she produced outstanding does that milked well and sons who were outstanding. Ebony had several Best of Breeds. Tablee is another buck we have kept out of Tabitha. He is black with tan trim and a very nice buck. Look at our [LaMancha Senior Does] page to find more information about his dam Tabitha. His sire, Ra (listed above) also has an outstanding pedigree. Susan Hoff from Michigan purchased the full brother to Tablee. She seems very satisfied with him. We want to thank Susan and hope that Tabron will help to improve her herd of LaMancha’s both in the milk parlor and show ring. We have way too many bucks, so we have decided to sell on of Tabitha's bucks. We lost Phoenix, so decided to sell the one out of Ra, since we still have Ra. | ||||||||||||||||||||

Tum is black with white on his left sife and three toes. We decided to retain Tum in our herd, when we sold his dam Taberae, and his sire Tumble to the Ryals. He has turned into a very nice young buck. He was born May 5, 2006. We really like the animals we got out of One*Oak*Hill Mac Tumble Weed and Taberae is a beautiful doe, so we hope the two of them together will make Tum produce good milking does along with nice show animals. | ||||||||||||||||||||

This buck kid was born to Rollick in 2007. We decided to keep him, and sell his brother Riley. He is a nice large buck, but we have not used him much. | ||||||||||||||||||||

I was not going to save any buck kids in 2008, but when I had this AI kid come, I could not resist saving him. When I told Ann Weinkle that I had a buck kid out of Vincent, she told me Vincent was a very genetically strong buck with over 90% of his offspring as keepers when they freshened. Ann sold Vincent to Kloiber's but had semen to use out of him. She has a four year old daughter out of Vincent that just finished a lactation of 3079M with 149BF and has a chance of making top ten for BF. We had a doe and buck out of this breeding and both were very nice. | ||||||||||||||||||||

Indiana NS Tumble Weed Tumble | ||||||||||||||||||||

Tumble Weed Tumble is another buck we have produced through the use of AI. He is the color of an Alpine, being frosted light brown with black trim. His sire, GCH ++B One Oak Hill Mac Tumble Weed speaks for himself. His dam, Tameka [LaMancha Senior Does] is another one of our favorite does. She shows well and also milks very good. Tumble was sold with the other LaManchas to the Bill Ryals Family in Mississippi. | ||||||||||||||||||||

Indiana NS Snapdragon Tips | ||||||||||||||||||||

Tips is another buck we used A.I. to acquire in our herd. We had several bucks, so we used him very little. His dam, Tipper has gone on to better places now, but she was a beautiful doe. Tips is white and as you know, we are not very fond of white. We are impressed with his pedigree of both milk and Champions. Tips was sold to the Bill Ryals Family. | ||||||||||||||||||||

We are sad to announce that Phoenix passed over the rainbow in October of 2006. We had purchased Phoenix from Don and Judi Hoy. We were very pleased with the animals he produced. One of his daughters won Best LaMancha udder at the Indiana State Fair in 2005 and went on to win Best Udder of the entire show. We want to thank the Hoy's for allowing us to purchase him. Phoenix was black with tan markings. Phoenix’s sire, Monet is an attractive buck and his daughters are uniformly lovely. They are consistent and have lovely mammary systems. His dam, Dandy [LaMancha Doe Ref.] comes from a long line of “Excellent” appraising does with lots of milk and show ability. Dandy is the third generation 90 or better and GCH doe. Dandy has milked 3,000# of milk with over 100# of fat and she appraised 90, she is also a permanent GCH. Dandy died at 14 1/2 after kidding in the spring of 2006. Dan De Lyon is out of GCH Allroc Farms Smoky Rosebud. [LaMancha Doe Ref.] Rosebud was 1997 & 1998 ADGA Reserve National Champion. 1996 & 1998 ADGA National Best Udder, 1997 ADGA National Reserve Best Udder, 1996 AGS National BOB & Best Udder and 1996 Supreme All American. She had been three time Top ten in milk, butterfat and protein. Rosebud appraised (VEEE) on 05-05-92. Being line bred on his dam side, Rosebud is strong in milk, show and correctness. His maternal and paternal half sisters have consistently placed in the top ten at several National Shows. Dan’s semen is for sale at a very reasonable price, because of the amount we had collected. Tumble Weed has been used extensively by AI. We had one buck sired by Tumble Weed. We named him Indiana NS Tumble Weed Tumble. We call him Tumble for short. Tumble was sold to the Bill Ryals family. We also have two very nice does out of Tumble Weed that can be viewed on the [LaMancha Doe Ref.] page. Tumble-Weed was shown twice in 1999. He was Grand Champion and Best In Show both days. He now has several Champion daughters and many fine sons. His offspring seem to milk quite well. They mature into strong uddered does with an elegant style and general appearance. We were very pleased with the three animals we have sired by Tumble-Weed. Snap Dragon was owned by Ann Weikel, of Rockspring. He is now deceased. We have used his semen to AI some of our does. We are very pleased with the success Snap Dragon has brought to our herd of LaManchas. He is the maternal brother to the 1998 National Champion GCH Rockspring Vin Daffy Dandelion 4*M. His dam Daffodil was EX 91 at five years. His Grandam Diana was EX 90 at nine years, and his great Grandam was EX 92 at seven years. He comes from a long lived, very structurally correct bloodline. Diana lived to be almost 14 year of age. Snap Dragon’s sire, Constellation, also comes from a line of all EX does. A big thanks goes to "Rockspring" for making it possible to use this semen. | ||||||||||||||||||||

Voyager is now deceased, but his semen has been used in many LaMancha Herds. Jim and Joan Vandergriff of Haute Caprine owned him. It seemed it was not known what a great buck he was until after he died. He produced many fine animals and has been used in many herds through AI. Voyager was ADGA National Show Premier Sire and sired the first place Sr. Get in 86, 87, 88 and 89 National Show. Wendy, his daughter was National Show Champion in 1986, then Muscat, his daughter was RGCH in 88. He produces high tight udders, with good bodies. | ||||||||||||||||||||
